logos, logos, and more LOGOS!

I’m currently trying to form a new identity for Mississsauga as part of my thesis. Therefore it requires me to look at what’s out there… well it’s mostly because I’ve let myself become a little to /pwnd by the Melbourne logo which I thought was brilliant and whatever i’ve been coming up w/ kind of ressembles it… I need a new direction… here’s a few that I’ve been looking at!

this one looks great because of the organic icon. I’m not really sure what kind of look I want yet. I’m torn between something more organic or typographic or graphic

i think that what makes this quite an eye catcher is the painterly quality of the logo which you don’t see much nowadays.

HAPPY 2011!

I know it’s well overdue but I’d like to wish you all a happy new year! I haven’t posted for weeks just because my mac K.O.’d on me because its MoBo died :( … fortunately it’s back, although unfortunately I get it back with a pretty massive scratch on the screen shell thing, which means it’s gonna be back in the shop again :(… 

Anyway I’m currently trying to create a new identity concept for Mississauga… hence we’re in Sem 2 now which means a LOT of studio work! it’s just hitting me now but okay! I know the sem just began, but time seems to run out very fast already! *sigh* hopefully all goes well :) wish me luck!
